Official summary
Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain subject vehicles, the engine electronics control unit software (ME-SFI) does not correspond to the current series production configuration. The possibility exists that a faulty calculation of the cylinder balance diagnosis counter may occur, but there would be no effects on the driving mode. MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the engine electronics control unit software (ME-SFI) in the affected vehicles.
