Official summary
This article supersedes TSB 25-2323 to update the Service procedure, Parts list, and add a clarification note about Cost Cap and Prior approval process requirement for vehicles under NVLW. Some of the vehicles listed in the model statement above may exhibit an oil leak from the oil filter adapter to engine block mounting area. This may be due to block porosity or a block crack just below the oil filter adapter near the main bearing cap outer bolt.
