Official summary
Some 2025-2026 Ranger vehicles built on or before 21-Apr-2026 and equipped with a 12-inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display may exhibit a condition where the IPC backlight and shift indicator remains illuminated after the vehicle is turned off. This may be due to the software in the IPC. To correct the condition, using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool, download and run the "IPC - Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Software Update" application. For claiming, use causal part 10849 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
