Issue: complaint of rattle from exhaust Before replacement: Check for loose exhaust Aluminum isolator brackets (check if the bracket is movable by hand/bolts not fully fastened to the vehicle). If loose, tighten and check to see if the rattle is still present. Check clearances between exhaust components and isolators brackets, as well as other parts of the vehicle. If the hanger braces (additional rods welded to the hanger rod for strengthening) are bottomed out on the isolator, loosen the clamps joining the catalytic-side and muffler-side systems and slide the muffler side exhaust back 5mm.
