Official summary
Bulletin does not apply to vehicles that have had the powertrain control module reprogrammed on tsb 18-36-95, 18-20-95reva, or 18-38-95 dated dec. 8, 1995. Customer complaint of a 'ticking' noise at idle from engine compartment. Condition is more noticeable in cold ambient under 40 degrees f. Repair involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the powertrain control module (pcm) with new software (calibrations).
