Official summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles with erratic or hesitation when opening and closing the power liftgate. There may be a diagnostic trouble code B153A set in the power liftgate module. This concern could occur if the left liftgate actuator is internally coming apart. The actuator will need to be replaced however care must be taken when removing the actuator from the vehicle. If the internal portion of the actuator had completely separated the end of the actuator could become a projectile when removed. Obtain a number 8 self-tapping
