Official summary

Complaint When driving on uneven road surfaces, there may be cracking, thumping, or knocking noises from the area of the rear axle. Cause The lower connection of the shock absorber (damper) to the lower transverse control arm might not have been torqued to specification. Remedy Tighten threaded connection to listed appropriate torque. (See WIS). Replacing the shock absorber (damper) does not remedy the problem. Invoice SSL 32D07 and 32S07 for this. Note: The threaded connection is self-locking and will not detach. Noise is the only byproduct.
