Official summary
DESCRIPTION Some customers may experience that the BSM (Blind Spot Monitoring) warning light remains on while driving, even though no vehicle is present behind. This may be caused by electrical noise in the BSM control module power supply and vibration noise from the rear bumper that falsely detects a vehicle behind. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the BSM has been modified to prevent the influence of noise. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify the customer concern. NOTE: This issue

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
